BACKGROUND

At the age of 5 my dad taught me how to play the saxophone. Growing up learning clarinet, flute, guitar, and piano additionally, I began to explore different genres and styles of music. I became invested in learning about recording technology and music composing becoming heavily influenced by David Bowie, Brian Eno, and Mazzy Star during my listening explorations. Along with my passion for composing, recording, and playing instruments, I made my regional musical theater debut as an actress during the Summer of 2019. Following, Fall semester of 2019 I studied abroad at Kingston University at the Visconti Studio and met Tony Visconti, one of David Bowie's producers. I recorded and produced an original album at the Visconti Studio with the help of students participating in Acid Grass Records. Spring 2020 at Lebanon Valley College I worked on a MIDI Sprout Plant recording project with sound artist Civyiu Kkliu, my professor Dr. Robert Machado. After graduation, I became an adjunct professor of music technology at Alvernia University creating the course: "Intro to Music Technology."

ACID GRASS RECORDS

During my Fall 2019 semester, I worked with students collaborating with the organization Acid Grass Records and Dr. Michael Gatt to record and produce my original song "Sunshine" under my dream-pop project's name Dipped. I also collaborated on an 80's inspired track called "The Other Night" providing lyrics and vocals. Additional to being a composer for the record label, I assisted as a recording engineer every Wednesday for sessions.

RECORDING & MIXING PROJECT

During my Fall 2019 semester abroad, I worked with Acid Grass Record students at Kingston University in the U.K. to create an EP of my original music in the Visconti Studio. My dream-pop project's name is Dipped. Heavily influenced by Mazzy Star and Hope Sandoval's second project, Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions, I utilized the vintage EMT reverb plate at the studio to emulate a 90's dream-pop style. After a month of settling in and making friends at Kingston, I had an unimaginable British team for my record. I spent my last Spring semester at Lebanon Valley College mixing the recordings in Studio A.

VALE RECORDS AND RDSD PUBLISHING

During my time at Lebanon Valley College, I worked with VALE Records and RDSD Publishing to contract two songs. One song I wrote for artist Sam Machin, "Fantasy," and the second song I recorded in the studio with Miles Weber, "Know." "Know" was written with Miles Weber and Berklee College of Music and the University of the Arts graduate Nick Graham. Additionally, my dream-pop project Dipped was a VALE Live band that was invited to VALE Live events throughout the years.

This piece has been ongoing during composition lessons with Dr. Morell and Dr. Strohman Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. The piece represents the contrast between hiding from society versus embracing insecurities.

SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS PROJECT

Electronic Music Project

For an electronic music class, I was assigned to use a popular music track to splice apart to create an original composition. I used Julia Michael's song "Anxiety," Button Poetry's writer Blythe Baird's poem, and Lady Gaga's sexual assault speech to create a sexual assault awareness track.

ABLETON GENERAL SOUND COMPOSITION

What Makes Our Fragile World Come 'Round

For an electronic music class, I was challenged to create an original composition only using general sounds in Ableton. It was hard to work with the default sounds to create a work that I was proud of regarding sound quality and musical content. I decided to later sing and write lyrics for the track.

PLANT MUSIC

Splash Select Pink 2

Using an Instruo Scion and modular synth, my professor Dr. Robert Machado (sound artist Civyiu Kkliu) and I did an independent research project on plant music. We used their biofeedback signals to create MIDI data. I later composed and performed with the plants to create this track to show the connection between ecology and humanity.
